True Advocate

I hired Tom almost a year ago for a case that really put me in a tough spot. It has taken the better part of a year but Tom has diligently advocated on my behalf at every court date until the case finally ended with a really positive disposition given the circumstances. I would definitely hire him a...gain!

The best lawyer you can have for your case in NY-NJ, regardless of location

I had a very positive experience where my DUI charge was reduced to a careless driving ticket. I would like to affirm all the great reviews and add some details from my specific case. I hired Thomas based on the great reputation he has in the industry but my one concern was that the court was over ...an hour drive from his office. I was concerned that he would not have a relationship with the town's court staff when compared to a local lawyer. As it turned out he knew both the judge and the prosecutor from previous cases. This together with the expert's findings helped to get the case downgraded to a much lower charge. The point made here is this, regardless of where your case is in the NY-NJ area, if Mr. Thomas Carroll Blauvelt is willing to take your case, you should not hesitate and hire him to represent your case.

Great Lawyer!

Mr. Blauvelt is an excellent lawyer. I hired him after a car accident. He is extremely knowledgeable and was very attentive and helpful throughout it all. Mr. Blauvelt was professional, stated everything clearly was upfront with the process. I would recommend him in a heartbeat.

the reviews are true!

After doing extensive searches through online reviews, ratings, attorney websites, etc. I narrowed my search down to 3 lawyers. I first reached out to Tom, as he had excellent reviews (and a lot of them!), an office right in town, and a fixed rate. After making an online inquiry, I was surprised to r...eceive a reply from Tom almost instantly so I set up an appt for a consultation. After meeting with Tom, I decided not to pursue the other options. I could tell from the first meeting that I trusted him to handle this very serious issue for me. This was my first time dealing with this type of legal matter was in a very bad situation to say the least (facing 9 charges in Sup Court!) I was extremely anxious and afraid of what could happen, but Tom eased my fears - explaining everything calmly and optimistically but without making any unrealistic promises. In the weeks before my court date, Tom provided me with guidance on what to do and shared all info he received pertaining to my case. Everything he told me was spot on. Also, Tom's office was excellent in keeping me informed and replying to all my emails and calls. (My boyfriend wasn't so fortunate and had horrible experiences with other attorney offices - they barely gave him any info on his case, we had to beg for a reply to emails, never even got discovery, one office gave him the wrong date for hearing resulting in a bench warrant, and another even sent him to the wrong courthouse!) I was so relieved that I chose Tom's office - they were top notch! Tom guided me through it all and I never felt alone. I witnessed firsthand that Tom is well recognized and respected; Court staff knew him by name, and he navigated me through all of the court processes (appearances, applications, etc) perfectly. I've already recommended Tom to others, and I encourage anyone facing a criminal matter to make an appointment for a consultation and you will see for yourself!

Amazing lawyer!

Thomas knows what he's doing and he's great at it. Relatively cheap lawyer compared to others in Woodbridge and his work is exceptional. He reassured me and made sure I knew what was going on at every step of the way. The outcome of my case was better than I was going for. What more could I ask for i...n a lawyer?
