Defies what one typically thinks (or hears jokes) about lawyers

Tom turned out to be a fantastic lawyer. He handled a case regarding a serious juvenile DUI charge and his handling of thyis case was, in a word, "Masterful". Due to his knowledge of the law, perseverance, and ability to negotiate, he helped us out in ways you cannot event begin to imagine. The on...ly less-than-optimal aspect of this experience for us was that he did not keep us as informed as much as I had expected. I must add though, some of my expectations with regard to information transfer came from concern about the charges and costs; worry. And, when we were togehter to discuss statusand next steps, his advice and recommendations on how we should proceed where well founded, accurate. Lastly, Tom treats you like a human being, not like just another case. Highly recommend you consider him for your legal needs.

Great DUI Lawyer for Piscataway Court NJ

I went to Mr. Blauvelt's office a couple of days after I received a DUI charge in Piscataway NJ. My blood/alcohol content was a 0.15 and I was facing a 7 month suspension and an Interlock device installation. For those of you that aren't familiar with the interlock device, it's a device that the cour...ts make you install into your car for 6 months to a year after you get your license back. Not only do you have to blow into this device to start your car, but the payment for the device is pretty expensive. I wasn't from Piscataway, and didn't know much about their court system, so my primary agenda was to hire a lawyer that was close to the prosecutors and judges of the court. After looking up DUI lawyers in Piscatway, I really couldn't find any, so I started looking up DUI lawyers in the closest city (Edison) and immediately came across Mr. Blauvelt. During our first meeting, Mr. Blauvelt explained that he knew both prosecutors and both judges of Piscataway court very well and already started finding holes in my case and angles that he could work. He was very honest from the beginning, and never led me to believe that he could work a miracle for me, just so I would retain him. I was facing pretty serious charges, due to my high reading, so he explained to me what he could do within reason. Long story short, Blauvelt's relationships with the prosecutors and the judges allowed him to work work a deal with them, where they reduced my license suspension from 7 to 3 months, and I didn't have to install an interlock device! A 3 month license suspension is way more manageable than 7 months, especially since my job requires me to drive up and down NJ. Mr. Blauvelt's strong points are that he keeps very good relationships with prosecutors and judges, he knows DUI law in and out, and he's a straight shooter. He's also very responsive through email. He receives his emails on the phone and almost always responds to them . I would highly recommend Mr. Blauvelt to anyone that came to me with DUI issues.
