Hillsborough DUI

Mr. Blauvelt was great in every respect. He stuck with me from the start, kept me informed of everything going on and also what my options were at each turn. He helped me make an informed decision as to my best course of action. He stuck with me from our first pre-trial meeting with the prosecutor... all the way to an actual trial. He worked to get me the best outcome possible under the specific circumstances. In the future, should I need an attorney again, I will have no reason to contact anyone else but him. I couldn't be happier with his services.

Carless Driving Ticket Dismissed

I recieved a ticket for carless driving. This is the end of the world when your a truck driver. Thomas knew it so he went the extra mile to defend me. He took the ticket all the way. The officer was ordered to show up and never showed. I had enough cofidence in Thomas that if the officer did sho...w, I would be in good hands. Ticket dismissed. Career saved.

Great DUI Lawyer for Piscataway Court NJ

I went to Mr. Blauvelt's office a couple of days after I received a DUI charge in Piscataway NJ. My blood/alcohol content was a 0.15 and I was facing a 7 month suspension and an Interlock device installation. For those of you that aren't familiar with the interlock device, it's a device that the cour...ts make you install into your car for 6 months to a year after you get your license back. Not only do you have to blow into this device to start your car, but the payment for the device is pretty expensive. I wasn't from Piscataway, and didn't know much about their court system, so my primary agenda was to hire a lawyer that was close to the prosecutors and judges of the court. After looking up DUI lawyers in Piscatway, I really couldn't find any, so I started looking up DUI lawyers in the closest city (Edison) and immediately came across Mr. Blauvelt. During our first meeting, Mr. Blauvelt explained that he knew both prosecutors and both judges of Piscataway court very well and already started finding holes in my case and angles that he could work. He was very honest from the beginning, and never led me to believe that he could work a miracle for me, just so I would retain him. I was facing pretty serious charges, due to my high reading, so he explained to me what he could do within reason. Long story short, Blauvelt's relationships with the prosecutors and the judges allowed him to work work a deal with them, where they reduced my license suspension from 7 to 3 months, and I didn't have to install an interlock device! A 3 month license suspension is way more manageable than 7 months, especially since my job requires me to drive up and down NJ. Mr. Blauvelt's strong points are that he keeps very good relationships with prosecutors and judges, he knows DUI law in and out, and he's a straight shooter. He's also very responsive through email. He receives his emails on the phone and almost always responds to them . I would highly recommend Mr. Blauvelt to anyone that came to me with DUI issues.

Positive Performance Review

Mr. Blauvelt provided a comprehensive, thorough and knowledgable defense for a DWI charge I received in 2008. His expertise in matters associated with the law, the circumstances of the charge(s) against me, his access to and arrangement for expert advice and his knowledge of the court system --both a...s a defense attorney and a former prosecutor --served me well in mitigating what could have been catastrophic to me. The final judgement was fair and balanced, and justice was served for all parties involved, due mainly to his skill and experience, and his talent for negotiation in all matters related to operating a motor vehicle in the State of New Jersey. I have, since, refered several people to Mr. Blauvelt --those to whom I have expressed complete confidence in recommending his services.
