Travis Tormey Review

I would highly recommend Travis Tormey for any DWI violation. Travis successfully, tactfully and strategically reduced my five (5) ticket violation two (2) tickets while simultaneously reducing the 7 month suspension down to 3 months based upon his knowledge and case law.

Very Grateful

Martin Re**** Toms River, N.J. 07853 5 January 2012 Attorney Travis Tormey, I would like to extend my personal gratitude for the expertise and commitment you have executed while representing myself in municipal court. Upon being charged with DUI and reckless driving, I quickly reali...zed what a dire situation I had put myself, my career, and any hopeful future endeavors in. Distraught and hopeless I searched the internet an entire day and contacted your office (John F. Marshall). After meeting with attorney Tormey I was optimistic that I might possibly not have to rear the badge of a DUI due to the possibility of procedural disobedience by the law enforcement agency. As a retired military Officer, I understood that minor indiscretions can have adverse effects on even the most convincing arguments. Attorney Tormey insisted upon and persevered through six months of adjournments, awaiting the state to provide and prove their case. Gratefully on 4 January 2012, through his expertise both tactically and technically, Attorney Tormey pled out my case to a mitigated reckless driving charge. Without any inhibitions, I strongly recommend this Law Office and Travis Tormey. Very Thankful Martin Re****

FEELING USED, JUST ANOTHER PAYCHECK, POOR COMMITMENT BY TRAVIS J TORMEY

To; Travis J. Tormey, and viewers My notion of Travis handling my case and not delegated the case to his workers were not honored. I selected Travis because what I read about him, his videos speaking on how he handled previous cases, and his overall duration in his field. Evidence attained outside... the guidelines of the law were leveraged against me thus crippling a favorable outcome in my favor. Motions were not exercised nor advocated in my defense a DUI without even a BAC level in the officers’ defense. I feel taken advantage of by prosecutor and even worse Travis firm because if Travis showed up to court and not his associate who I never met personally nor seen on any of his marketing and/or in Travis videos appeared to court. I hired Travis J. Tormey to represent me and not your help. Travis helper did not explain the cost of the 3yr surcharge I would be facing. The point is even if the same results were given to me, I would have preferred to go down in my terms, knowing every tactic was used to get me out of this jam. Travis you should have appeared in court with me I hired you not your HELP. If you really care, if you still hold the fire from when you took on your first case reach out to reverse the judgement its passed the 20 days but you probably don't care you have your money already.

I’m sorry you feel that way sir. As I tell all the potential clients that contact me, DWI cases are very difficult to beat in NJ. The State is in a power position considering you have a breath test reading that is over the legal limit. All we can do is examine the evidence and try to find any potential technicalities to obtain a better result for you in court. I’m not a magician. You could have taken the case to trial but then you are exposed to the maximum penalties if you lose as well as the rest of the tickets that were issued against you. That doesn’t always end up with the best result unfortunately.

Know who you're hiring. Travis tormey answered the phone when I called him and made me believe he would be the one fighting my case. I was pulled over for multiple offenses including dwi. He told me my case would be good for a trial as I blew very low .08 and I denied a sobriety test. The cop got me ...out out the car as he said he would arrest me for a disorderly person offense. So I hired Travis. Low and behold he gives my case to an associate. Now I didn't find out until my first court date, it was one of his associates.....no one talked it over with me. You're paying this firm and they don't have the decency to tell you who to expect . It's unacceptable to me. For a few months i felt like I was wasting my time going to court back and forth as they didn't have evidence, but but finally got it in February after this situation happened in September. I had wanted to hire an expert witness. I had called other lawyers who agreed with a breath test that low it should have been done. I felt like this law firm just wanted to cut a deal. It should have been further investigated. To this day I still think I could have done better with a different firm. Please think before you hire this firm!

Sorry you were unhappy with the outcome of your case. I have several attorneys who work with me on my cases. Many courts meet at the same time and unfortunately I can’t be in multiple places for every client we have. It sounds like we fought the case for 6 months for a $2500 flat rate. There isn’t another firm in the State who would have done that for such a reasonable fee. In addition, we consult with the expert witness on every DWI case. However, it may not have been productive for you to pay that additional fee for an expert report if the prosecutor was unwilling to dismiss the DWI. Your only other option was a trial which it appears that you determined that was not in your best interests considering all of the charges you were facing.

Failed to Advise Penalties for a failure to take a field sobriety test!

He got rid of a DUI for me ( i wasnt driving nor under the influence. I was asleep on private property) but did not get rid of the refusal to take a breathalizer. In NJ this is way worse than a DUI. Its 7 months license suspension, then 6 months with an ignition interlock on your car then 3 years o...f thousands and thousands of fine to NJ motor vehicles. And very high insurance premiums for 4 years. He didnt explain any of this. Watch out for this guy. Hard to work with, Smug, condescending attitude.
