Travis Tormey is the only lawyer I seek out to handle my legal affairs. Over the last four years, I have used Mr. Tormey's services on numerous occasions to my great benefit. He prompty returns my messages, takes the time to explain the legal jargon, and how we should proceed at every step of each of... my cases. Mr. Tormey is always ready and well prepared to represent me in Municiple Court. He has made going through legal proceedings much more straightforward and clear in my expectations. Due to my driving habits, I know I will continue to use Mr. Tormey in the future.

After initially speaking directly to Travis Tormey on the phone I was confident in using his law firm for my traffic violation, he expressed how well known himself and his wife were in the court I needed to appear in. He talked about how extensive his representation would be. this changed quickly... after payment was made to retain him. there were 30 days between retaining him and my court date. I made multiple contact attempts to the law firm and had no opportunity to meet my attorney to review my case prior to my court date. When my court date came, to my surprise, Travis did not show up but someone else from the law firm did. This was not who I was under the impression was representing me. This was the first time I was able to speak to anyone in detail about my case and that was less than an hour before I needed to see the judge. The attorney from the law firm that showed up was nice and tried to be helpful but when I was asking questions this individual was actually googling the answers on their phone. I could have done that! I understand hiring an attorney does not guarantee a specific outcome and I accept the penalties for my traffic infraction but for the price I paid this law firm I would have expected to at least be able to meet with the attorney prior to the court date. I was then advised to plead guilty which I did. I would consider using another law firm not because Travis Tormey did anything wrong but the service was poor and honestly when you are investing thousands of dollars to retain an attorney you'd expect more than having questions answered by google and have the ability to meet atleast one time with the attorney. Seemed more like I paid to just be able to say I had an attorney. I can't say I would have had a different outcome with a different attorney but I can say I would have had a better feeling about the money I spent. On a positive note they did show up to court, I would not use this law firm again if I ever find myself in the same situation.
