After reading the good reviews online I decided to use the firms services, and presenting my case to Michael. He told me multiple times that I have a strong case, and he left a good impression so I have decided to trust him and use his services. I have spent a lot of money and time (several months...), I asked him for an update regarding the lawsuit over an email with no response. And then, came his vacation, his classes that he teaches, and other errands that prevented him from responding to me, yet not from charging of course. Finally after reaching him over the phone (few months into the case) he has reminded to tell me that the lawsuit that he charged me for several months is not his field of expertise. Meaning he legally cannot represent me which is the reason for hiring him in the first place. When I asked him why didn't you tell me that its NOT YOUR FIELD OF PRACTICE! Why did you take my case! YOU WASTED MY TIME AND MONEY! He argued that we should agree to disagree and blew me off. Beware from his opinions! Hiring him requires another lawyer to check that he is doing is job right!

I hired Michael a week after a real estate deal went south...way south. This transactions was part of a marital settlement agreement (MSA) from a divorce and quite complex. What I appreciated about Michael was not only his professional expertise and honesty, but his empathy. He knew how emotionally ...taxing this process was and never once took advantage of it. His knowledge of the law and structuring deals is impressive to say the least. It's rare to find someone so passionate about their work and who cares about the wellbeing of their clients; Michael is that person. I would happily recommend Michael to any friend or family member and will definitely use him in the future.

I was a CLIENT of Michael Schonberger's last year when I consulted him about how to handle my house after my husband died. I signed an agreement for him to provide services if I needed them and I gave him a $1000 deposit. After 8 months I never received an email from him. Just one phone call.... Never received a statement or a recapitulation of services. No services had been rendered and I did not think I was going to have a problem with the house. So I emailed Michael Schonberger and asked for my deposit back. He refused and said that my deposit had been used towards services rendered. I asked what services and also asked why I had never received a statement. The agreement I signed did not have an expiration date for the deposit nor did it state anywhere that the deposit was non-refundable. But he still refused to give me my money back.

I had the pleasure to work with Michael on closing the deal of my new apartment and I will definitely use his services again and recommend him to anyone buying a property. Michael is very knowledgeable and he was very responsive to our queries. He also helped us even with the smallest details of the... deal and saved us a lot of money and time. He was also extremely helpful after closing the deal taking care of some issues discovered after the closing. Thank you Michael!
