FAILED: On 3 NYC Tickets

After reading nothing but raving 5-star reviews, I eagerly plunked down $1,350 total, (over a period of a year and a half for 3 different NYC tickets I got while driving for Uber in Manhattan), with the hope of saving myself 6 points on my driver's license. Since I was driving for Uber as my full ti...me work at the time, I was pretty desperate not to get these points. They correctly did not *guarantee* that they could take care of them. But they told me what they would do, put them off as long as possible and hope when the cop showed up at court a year or so later, he would have forgotten certain details and the judge would rule in my favor. They told me this often worked. It worked often enough, apparently, that the girl felt I wouldn't be wasting my $450 for each ticket (now $500+) to give it a try. However, I was found GUILTY on ALL 3 tickets. And yes, I feel very cheated. Why? Because, they could have divulged that they don't have a very good success rate on New York City tickets. Or, they could have simply honestly told me what their success rate was. They didn't do that though. And because they didn't, they led me to believe (without specifically saying so), that there was a pretty good chance they could get them dismissed. The reality though, is that in NYC traffic court the chances of getting a ticket dismissed are slim to none whether you have a lawyer or not. So, I ended up paying total, $1,704 for what would have been just $354 if I had paid the tickets outright. And I got the full two points on my license for each ticket, giving me a total now of 6 points. Which is EXACTLY what I would have gotten if I hadn't hired a lawyer and paid them $1,350. If your ticket was issued in NYC... forget it. Just pay the damn thing and save yourself a ton of money. No lawyer can help you in NYC.

While many of our cases are in locations where we can do our utmost to guarantee success because those areas permit us to negotiate a reduction, in NYC that is not permitted. That's why we told you - as you stated in your review - that the results are not guaranteed. The reason we make no representations about our "win rate" is because each case is unique and therefore we also don't want to mislead people about their real chances of winning or losing. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, you were found guilty by the judge all three times. That doesn't mean it's not worth fighting a NYC traffic ticket - after all, "you have to be in it to win it." If you plead guilty then you eliminate any chance of winning that you may have. And many of our clients do win and end up reaping the rewards of our skilled efforts. We therefore encourage any individual with a ticket - even in NYC - to contact us for a professional assessment of what we feel can be done. As in your case, we will be sure to explain the potential benefits and risks of taking the ticket to trial and will be fully up front and honest in so doing. - Adam H. Rosenblum
