During high school I met a foreign exchange student on the first day of school from Ukraine. She, her husband, and 12 year old twins lived in Buch, Ukraine when their lives changed forever. Once the United for Ukraine program was announced it was decided my family would sponsor her and her children. ...I began to google the process and was overwhelmed. Gintare herself is from Ukraine and this is a very important issue for her in helping save lives of those displaced. Their knowledge, care, and compassion during a time of chaos for so many helped keep the nervousness of waiting at bay because we knew we had the backing of a team that knew and understood the process. I know you can apply by yourself but I would not have been able to file the paperwork as quickly or manage the process like they did for us.
