My husband fell in Feb 2021 on ice in our parking lot. He is still injured and still needs chiro and was told to wait until he was done with chiro to go to the orthopedic. He never stopped going to chiro. The case manager really screwed this up. She sent the initial insurance documents to the wrong p...lace for a year and only reached out 3 times via mail to the management company. We kept telling her the right place to send but she was defensive and pretty inept. There was never any explanation for this. Called her a couple of weeks ago and questioned dates and who she mailed stuff to. Months would go by, my husband would email and nothing so I called to see what was going on. The case manager didn’t give any helpful information and a week later we got a letter in the mail saying they weren’t going to take our file - this is 15 months in. I called and left a msg for attorney perkins and the supervising attorney called me back. She was the only breath of fresh air in the place, though the receptionist was very nice too. She admitted that it wasn’t right and that they had gone wrong maybe with the paralegal and she said she’d like to talk to me more. I told them waiting 15 months is not acceptable and we had already signed a contract 15 months previous, on the day of the injury. I wish I had taken the time to look around for a better attorney. Next time we’ll bring our business to ned collier in Milford.
I spoke with attorney perkins today who fed me a line about how my husband didn’t have enough treatment for the insurance company to settle. My husband is truly injured. Since he fell he has gone to the chiro weekly except when his brother was dying and now that I’ve lost my insurance he can’t go at all now. How many other people have they put in this impossible decision? This isn’t right. I spoke with Jonathan perkins and he lied about the reason and was not really looking to calm me down, just make up bs excuses. Then he hung up on me. I called back and he was “in a meeting” I said I just spoke with him 2 seconds ago - she was apologetic. I’m guessing the people who work there for substandard wages have to apologize a lot. This was a terrible experience and we even had emails from the day before and that morning asking the management to please salt. Easy case but I guess they decided after I questioned the case manager they aren’t going to take it - they’ve had his medical records for months so he it’s bs. I highly recommend Ned collier in Milford or carter Mario.
