I HIGHLY recommend working with Mr. Cohen on medical school public service loan repayment - I had a 30 minute conversation with him, we talked through the steps, I asked all the questions I had at the moment, and he listened and answered them thoroughly - all with ease that exceeded my expectations. ...THEN - after our conversation while I was filling out the appropriate forms, other questions came up - without any hesitation or delay he answered them via email. I feel safe and confident and comfortable with the status of my ridiculously high student loan debt because of Mr. Cohen. He answered many questions that the financial aid administrators at my Ivy League medical school could not answer... He even corrected misinformation they had told my entire class. So, I'm not one to give false praise, especially in an online review. And I'm also pretty difficult to please, and I see myself as a hater. I have a very high standard for competence, perhaps especially when choosing doctors or lawyers. This is a fact of life I've learned recently, and while it's ...not nice it still happens to be true. And that is that within a same profession, you're going to have a few participants that are the most competent at that profession. There are bad lawyers, ordinary lawyers, and then there are a few extraordinary lawyers (or doctors, or programmers, etc). I believe Josh to be among the best of the best at his profession. Now, where did this perception of mine come from? Well, it wasn't from Josh's marketing, which from what I've seen seems to be pretty terrible. I found out about Josh from a slip of the tongue during a consultation with another student loan lawyer. That lawyer said She was going to get back to me with some information, but she first needed to get the right answer from a lawyer seminar that was being taught by the Josh Cohen group. She admitted to me, "Josh has pioneered a lot of the student loan defense work in the country." When she said that I thought to myself, "That's the guy I need to talk to." When she said that phrase, I was sold on Josh. Had it not been for that, I probably would never have found out about Josh, and it was this honest, sort of secretive way in which I found about his degree of competence, that convinced me that he is one of the very best in his field. I did a phone consultation with Josh, and I have to say it was well worth the money. I had already spoken to other lawyers about my situation, but Josh just seemed more knowledgeable, the consultation was mostly substance, no fluff. It was a very information-dense conversation. He also had the very good idea of offering a free recording of the phone call. I don't know why other attorneys aren't doing this, it seems so obvious and necessary. Could not recommend more highly.

I had some questions about re-certifying a year after our first discussion and he emailed me back immediately and once again put my frantic mind at ease.
