Michael took on my case this summer and it was certainly not an easy case for him. I was involved in a motor vehicle accident that involved another vehicle (only driver in car). I was examined at the scene by the state police at which time they took my confession for drinking alcohol. I was not arr...ested that night, but rather was transported to the hospital. I did not take a breathalyzer (since police had confession). Following the accident I was issued a citation for OUI and operating to endanger. I also had my license revoked by the RMV for immediate threat. I hired Michael within days after the accident. I read about his reviews online and was referred by a friend. Michael responded to my initial inquiry (on a Sunday) and scheduled a free consultation the next day. He listened to the facts of my case and decided to take it on. He gave me a price that I thought was fair. I had later learned that the condition of the person I hit was very serious. At the time we were uncertain if the prosecution would increase the charges to OUI- causing serious personal injury (felony). I was fortunate that this charge was not increased throughout the case. During the pre-trial conference, I was pleased to learn of Michael's knowledge of the judges. He asked for a continuance on a day he knew the judge would not be favorable to our side. I was also impressed with his confidence in the case. On the day we eventually settled in court, we did not have everything go our way but Michael did manage to help me avoid pleading guilty and instead was able to continue the case without a finding for 18 months. My loss of license for the accident will be one year and received probation, community service and alcohol education classes. Given the circumstances, I am thankful that I hired Michael and agree that the punishments for the injuries I caused are fair. I am also thankful that nobody was killed the night of the accident and will certainly learn from this terrible event in my life. I was impressed with Michael throughout the course of my case and will certainly be giving him a call when my license suspension is close to conclusion so that we can address the immediate threat appeal with the RMV.
