We are trying to see if I can get on the property or how to do that, if it has to be willed or do I need to be added to deed. My mom is on there but she passed May 22nd. He’s looking into senior living and trying to get extra help from VA but the property and all his networth may be around $45- 55,000 at best. Plus he has Liens on the property . Is there a way he can leave that to me ?

Hi I recently just signed purchasing contracts on a new construction townhome with RyanHomes and at the time a month ago they were not including the rec room and half bath in the basement which ended up being $17k for us. But now I checked the website and they are including them now in the base price. If I bring this up will we get our price lowered? They haven’t broken ground yet

I obtained property from one of my friends I bought it off her because she needed the money at the time it was not notarized it was an agreement and the deed was transferred into my name It's an irrational fear but I was told that it's a lot more easier to fight it if it's notarized as an agreement and makes it harder for someone else to intervene but since this was not notarized how long do I have before no one can refute it One of my friends was actually a part of a sale but the kids protested it and because the argument was there was not notarized they're still duking it out in court but this was shortly after the bill of sale was made I was just concerned if something happened to something similar where to happen with her family if they can contest it or they coerce her to changing her mind how long do I have until they can't contest it at all if the Deeds already been transferred

My dad and I were put on a deed of my grandmother's house before my sister was born. My father passed away with no will. Would my sister be entitled to any part of the house?

I bought a new home from a builder in Northern VA area in May 2021 and the builder charged me a site premium of $20K since it was a cul-de-sac home site and comes with additional privacy/benefits. Now the same builder has other homes being built very close to my home and the plan is to add it as an extension to my community. The proposed plan adds another street to the cul-de-sac and I think it is no longer a cul-de-sac as it is not a dead end any more. So the benefits of having the cul-de-sac home and the added privacy is no longer the case. Since the builder has not honored the terms of the site premium, do I have any legal standing to take back the site premium which I paid? Thank you.

The locks have been changed on my home and I was not given a key?

As the previous President of the Board, my husband was constantly verbally attacked for one random thing or another by the man who became our new HOA president due to lack of interest in dealing with this individual. After he told me “he could take me out” he demanded to know where a key was to a non existent electrical box. My husband went to tell him that there was no electrical box. His wife invited my husband in. He chest bumped my husband and grabbed him by his shirt to throw him out of his house. Being an ex policeman., he immediately called the police and said he used “ reasonable force” to throw him out. My husband is 75 and not a physical equal. He’s just a bully. I know in life this is trivial, but this is my retirement home and there is no room for bullies. Thank you for your advise. There are always two sides to a story, but trust that mine is factual.
