Legal advice on Patents

I am making my own hot sauce and using my own ingredients and would like to patent it. I have a restaurant and and make my own hot sauce and giving it to my customers and they all tell me to sell it and some tell me to patent it. How do I go about patenting my hot suace?

Not my current situation, but have been having some thoughts. I want to understand a bit how patenting works, and how early I can patent an idea.

I have created a new product and I'm ready to start getting it manufactured but I want to protect my design. Do I need to start the patent process now or can I get some products manufactured first.

If I patented my absorbent's ingredients and thus disclosing the ingredients in the patent, does that mean nobody can legally use those ingredients to knock off or copy the exact formula and sell it? I'm just wondering if it's worth the money to try and protect my hours of research and trial and error to come up with my formula. This is a product used in a way previously not used in our current market.

Hi all, I am developing an accounting software that is only an add-on to QuickBooks Online. The app is unique in what it does as there is nothing quite like it on the marketplace. I originally created it just for me to use in my practice as I was frustrated by the absence of such an app. But now I think I can sell it as a subscription and I want to protect/patent as much of it as I can. Our app just provides friendlier format for non-accountant QuickBooks users to be able to properly enter transactions (on an accrual basis) without a bookkeeper/accounting knowledge. Like how you can prepare your own taxes with Turbotax without a tax pro. But this app helps you with accounting/bookkeeping. The app has not launched/beta tested yet. We also have not launched a website, posted on social media, or marketed it in any way that left a written trail. The most I have done is shown individuals a video of it at my office and show that video at charity golf event (to only like 10 people) that I was a sponsor for. Only my developers signed NDAs. I am curious what parts of the app I can protect? And I am also curious what I can market to customers without losing "Novelty"?

I think I might have come up with a cure for Cancer, by using some things that are already in existence, in a different way than they are normally used. I examined my theory from every angle and can find no reason why my idea wouldn't work. It's even easy to test, clinical trials would be a breeze. Imagine all the lives that could be saved, all the suffering that could be prevented when this works? After two back to back bad experiences one with an invention assistance companies that ran off with my invention (the pore vacuum), And one with a concert & scholarship program I had created that one of my nonprofit's Board Members sold behind my back to people that turned it into a Ponzi scheme! This time I want to be the one who benefits from my ideas. I want to ensure my procedure is both affordable and accessible to everyone. How do I do that?

Would I have a chance at a patent that would cover the dimensions (height, width, depth) in the space between the floor and the top and sides of furniture? The dimensions would apply to the furniture being used for a very specific purpose and likely or initially in a specific location of the furniture.

I'm currently being offered employment at a game development company to help ease my financial strain. This company is requesting that I sign a Confidentially & Intellectual Property/Proprietary Property agreement. I'm worried that this agreement might put my work done outside the company ( for my own game development studio or personal projects ) into jeopardy. The specific clause of the contract states that, "For all purposes, including but not limited to copyright, patent, and all other intellectual property rights, all of the results and proceeds of my services for the Company during my employment or assignment with the Company, including, but not limited to, all written, graphic, dramatic, literary, or pictorial works, materials, or displays, and all inventions and computer code, (collectively "Intellectual Property") ..... If, for any reason, any of such Intellectual Property shall not legally constitute works-made-for-hire, then I hereby assign all of my right, title, and interest thereto, including but not limited to the copyright, inventions, present and future patent rights, and all other intellectual property rights therein, to the Company, "
