Legal advice on Liability for personal injuries

I was renting a home and it caught fire.before this happened I asked her should we get renters insurance,and she said no we didn't need any.she had home owners insurance,and got 250,000$,back.she didn't give my family any money,leaving us homeless.we asked her three times should we get insurance and she kept saying no,we were okay.is it possible for us to sue her?

I have an aide who helps me with daily activities like getting me groceries. She is not licensed or insured, just a person I pay to help me. If she, say, gets into an auto accident while running an errand for me, am I liable for her medical bills, etc.? Is there some kind of insurance I could buy to protect me?

I currently have PIP and Property Damage coverage on my car, i was unaware i did not have bodily injury protection, being my father had did the renewal after he had a stroke. I got into an accident two weeks ago, the car in front of me had stopped short and before I was able to avoid hitting him , his hitch went into the driver side bumper. He said he was fine and was walking and joking around with the officers after the accident. I got a call yesterday from my insurance that he made a claim for bodily injury. The last day of the grace period to make a claim. His car had no damage only a dropped bumper whereas my bumper and hood were damaged. With him claiming bodily injury two weeks later, and me not having the bodily injury on my insurance, what can I do? I don’t have any assets in my name as all the assets are under my husband or my parents . I’m scared of what’s going to happens because I can’t lose my license as it’s how I get to work. But I also don’t have much to my name. I’ve never been in this situation as we have always had the bodily injury added to our insurance.

Two years ago, I was pulling into a parking spot, and my driver’s side mirror hit a pedestrian. I did not see her due to the glaring sun and windshield pillar. She has brought a civil suit against me, and my insurance company stated they have an attorney to defend me. However, I received a letter today from them stating if I wanted to hire my own attorney then I can do that? Is this something I should consider or will I be ok relying on the insurance company’s atty? Thank you!
