Legal advice on Lawsuits and disputes in Ohio

My elderly neighbor accused me of spinning my tires which I did not. When confronted I denied his claims and he became irrational, screaming that I lied and calling me out of my vehicle to fight. I laughed which caused more irrational reaction and threats to call police. I drove away. He called police and gave a statement. Police then confronted my wife who was working in our front yard. She told them she didn’t see what happened and police asked for her and my information which she provided. She was told by police to inform me of what citations could be written should the neighbor record me spinning my car tires. She broke off the conversation to console my crying children who were frightened by the neighbors screaming. I don’t know if there is legal action I can take against the neighbor for lying to the police. I also don’t like that a report was made using false accusations and don’t want that somehow used against me in the future. Example is if I should get pulled over for speeding potentially getting a citation instead of a warning because of a false report. I don’t actually know if that’s how it works which is another question. Thank you

I have a civil rights lawsuit against a jail that resulted in my sons death. The lawsuit has been filed. Is it public records? M

I took my son to the ER for an issue, they gave him an IV. After discharge on the way home from the hospital, I noticed he was losing a lot of blood. When I got home, we realized they did not remove the catheter, causing blood to squirt across the table.

Person I was dating for three years basically extorted $20,000 out of me and promised to pay me back. He has only paid me $300 back. I have all the receipts, bank statements and everything I need for proof. He is also being investigated by the Cuyahoga County deputies service for doing this to other women. However, they closed his case, and they will not help me.

We were scammed by a home construction contractor. Destroyed roof, etc., he left the job without finishing it and demanded full payment. He sued; we had first found depositions August 4th. My wife and I were humiliated and embarrassed (basically called insane) by opposing counsel. Now, they have unilaterally scheduled depositions for August 18 and 24. I have mandatory work and family appointments those days. I attempted to reschedule; opposing counsel refused and lectured me on the severity of missing the deposition. I never said that; we tried to reschedule. Our attorney dropped us last Monday. -Do we have grounds for a protective order? -Do we have grounds for a court motion to move the depositions to a different date? Any help would be very much so appreciated!

I filed a small claims complaint against a so-called consultant that I have paid $3500 and he has not delivered my reports, recommendations, and test results for an environmental inspection of my home. The first bill was for $575. The second related to a legal contract that states he will provide all the docs i mentioned. The legal case settled (with a contractor). During the case, my attny reached out to the consultant several time to obtain the reports, I also reached out several times. The consultant said that he "had no work product, that consultants often do not have work products." He did not accept service from the court. I sent him exhibits ahead of time, he did not accept. The court sent him another letter. Now he has retained a high powered "high stakes, handles complex cases, class actions....etc". I am a disabled person, and cant afford an attorney. I thought small claims was an informal peoples court. Now there is a 'pre-trial' not sure what to do with that.

My vehicle while in my friends name was stolen and involved in an accident which caused for it to be towed. The police wouldnt give a release for 3mos but once they did, I immediately took it to the tow place. While there I asked to retrieve my belongs from my vehicle and was allowed. Upon seeing my vehicle I had noticed damages to my vehicle that didn’t occur at the time of the accident so I immediately took pictures/videos.Then I got what I needed from it & went back to the office to let someone know that my vehicle had been damaged more since they towed it and that I had pictures and videos of before/after to prove my accusations and I wanted to speak to the owner before I paid them thousands of dollars to retrieve my vehicle to see what they were willing to do about the damages that were visible and they that they had caused while storing it/from towing it. So I left my # & he never called. I called and tried to contact him for 3 days and was given excuses & not responded to. A few wks had went by as I faced several hardships/health problems before I had been able to try again to reach out to the owner. My next try I was told it was crushed and they never notified or tried to

I bought a car from a “friend” completed the payments now won’t give me the title, the title is in my name , it’s only in my name and clear title, he just wanted to hold it until payment complete, cops were here yesterday he tried taking my key , but they domain no cause when they run the VIN number it comes back to me.. I get a text saying if I don’t leave the car unlocked with the key in it they are pressing charges .. can I get in trouble?
