Legal advice on Immigration in New York

Kid is applying from his home country. He is currently planning on leaving before his 18 birthday. How he can explain this to Canadian immigration especially if his parents are in US . Do they reject his Canadian student application automatically because his parents are in US?What is the best explanation he can give to them ? Will he be able to get a US visit visa to visit them in future especially if he leave before his eighteen birthday.

I am in the US on an E2 managerial visa. My partner's employer offers much better insurance benefits than my employer so I am considering moving to his insurance as we live together and have commingled finances, he is a US national. In order to go on his insurance I would need to register as a domestic partner with him as we reside in NY state. Will registering as a domestic partner negatively affect my current visa status? And should we pursue a greencard via marriage in a few years will this have any negative affects on this process in the future?

She has only few days left to apply for a citizenship. Should I wait until she gets a citizenship or should I file a case now to expedite my case. I want to have my gc ASAP.

I am currently a U.S. citizen residing in the U.S.. I would like to bring my spouse and child to join me. So far, my spouse has an approved I-130 and we're waiting to get her interview scheduled. Let's assume all goes well and she gets her green card. What will happen to our 1 year old child who is our biological child born in wedlock? I tried to transmit citizenship through the CRBA process but I do not meet the U.S. physical presence requirement so it got denied. Is my only option to file a separate I-130 for my child? It just doesn't make sense since if my wife gets her green card and moves to the U.S., where will my 1-year old child go? Shouldn't my child get an immigrant visa too? Other than the I-130 route, is there any way my spouse enters the U.S. with her immigrant visa and I can transmit citizenship to my child then since both parents are now U.S. persons (me being a citizen and wife being a green card holder)? Or is the I-130 route my only option?

I have been kept waiting for I-90 replacement for the last 24 months (the amended receipt's extension expired). Now that I need to find new employment on top of having no proof for my immigration status to present during the whole time since my initial filing, I am asking USCIS to schedule an appointment. No luck so far and I am not getting my hopes up. They -- from their robot call answering system to email -- just put me in this circle of request, not getting it answered, without providing any appointment. This is beyond belief insanity. Is there any way to get out of this and secure an appointment, and ultimately an ADIT stamp?

I applied for an I-90 in 2021 for my ten year GC renewal/replacement. (The ten year card had expired already by the time of filing. (On top of it, the card had gone missing before its expiration. ) )The amended notice of action for the 24 months extension already expired, if it meant anything at this point: I spent the entire time so far proof-less). Now that I need for employment search, it has to be either USCIS issuing an ADIT stamp or the renewed GC once and for all. Yet, USCIS turned out to be dead set against scheduling an appointment, needless to say issuing a stamp or doing anything substantial. They just let me submit a request for scheduling an appointment again and again, just to blow it off by furtive 'calls' that barely rang once, leaving no communication to follow up to put me back to the appointment request. I am getting exhausted and indignant. Please advise.

I filed Form I-539 to extend my B2 status about a month before my original I-94 expired and just received an approval notice (Form I-797C) a few days ago. The approval notice says "This is a courtesy copy, not the official notice" and "An updated Form I-94 is attached" but there was nothing else in the envelope other than the Form I-797C. If I check I-94 online, it's still the same as my previous admit until date. Where can I find the updated Form I-94 in this case?

I'am naturalized US citizen, married in my birth country using documents issued by my birth country. I took my husband's last name (stated on the marriage certificate). I would like to file I-130 petition for my husband and I'm not sure which legal name should I use in the process?
