I am currently on H1B valid till 2025 from my recent employer. I am in year 1 and 7 months into H1B (my first H1B got approved on 10/01/2021). I recently got laid off and I am considering my options. If I get a job in a different country, and work on the country's work visa for a short term, or maybe a year, can I come back to the USA and still continue to work on H1B since I haven't used my 6 years of H1B? Will the new employer be able to file a petition without going into the lottery again? What complications can I run into?? And also since I have lost my job and I am on H1B and have 60 days to get a job, what other options can I consider in case I don't get a job within the 60 days?

App returned to USCIS for revoking. But, USCIS approved my kids' i130 in 2018 as step-children instead of biological as filed. I obtained a certified true copy of the divorce decree, a letter from the Lagos high court where it was issued, & the i130 form that I filed initially where I chose that they are my biological children, so it was a USCIS error. I sent the evidence to USCIS. The case got reaffirmed in 2022. USCIS issued a letter that they changed my kids' status to biological. My wife & kids went back for an interview today. Cons asked for divorce docs, my wife gave him a copy of the divorce decree, a certified true copy, & lagos high court letter, used to get USCIS reaffirmation. Cons asked for an original of the divorce decree, my wife told him that embassy didn't return it to us in 2019. Cons said they do not have it, my wife repeated again that the embassy has it, bcos that is the truth. Cons issued a refusal for admin processing, he retained their passports and told her that he will issue the visa if my wife provide the original divorce decree. Embassy didn't return this doc in 2019. & Cons didnt address the fact that my kids are biological as corrected by USCIS

I got admitted in a USA university in Fall 2022 and received I-20 but I received my visa after the semester started. I have applied for another university and now I have a I-20 from a different university but that university name is not endorsed on my visa. Do I need to re-do the visa interview or I can use the same visa stamp with a new school I-20 to enter USA?

Hi everyone. I'm in the process of filing paperwork for my H1B petition. I'm filing as a GIS analyst for a commercial real estate firm (I have a degree specialization in GIS) however, the occupation does not exist in the BLS' OOH handbook. The only thing related is GIS technician which states that a HS GED is required. Is there a way to prove that being a GIS Analyst is a specialty occupation? All the GIS Jobs i applied to last year before i got my current one requires a BA in GIS.

I was born in Germany on a US military base in 1955. My dad is US but my mother was born and raised in Germany. She obtained her US citizenship after moving to the states.

When I was underage around 12 years old, my father started a green card petition for me and my mother, however, she was denied and was the main applicant so because of that I was denied too, however, I could still get it just by opening an application I-130 and making me the main applicant, that never happened however, so my question is should I respond to the question above as yes?
