I crossed the border illegally and surrender myself to border patrol agents. They inspected me and gave me 220 form which I should go to court next year and they released me. Can I get green card if I marry to US Citizen in this case above ?

I applied for bother about 10 years ago but his priority date is still on the waiting list. If he gets B1/B2, comes to US and then apply for adjustment of status while being here, will get approved sooner for his green card. Can he even apply for adjustment of status?

My sister who is a US citizen applied for my I-130 today. When do I need to apply and submit my documents such as I-485, I-694 and I-864? Will I need to submit them as soon as we get a receipt number within a few weeks or do I need to wait till she receives approval notice on the I-130? I am 27 years of age currently on F1 in the US.

Hi, I applied GC for my parents after they arrived in US (Arrived: Feb'22, applied: June'22) and their GC's have been approved as of this May. Have following questions and seeking feedback: 1. If they stay here in the US till early July, they fulfill their 6 months/180 days annual stay requirement for this calendar year with GC. Is my assumption correct? 2. My parents would also like to avoid the winter season (old age) in the US and would like to come back during Apr/May next year. This would mean they would stay outside US for > 6 months but < 1 yr. In reading through USCIS website, it looks like showing GC at entry and establishing immediate family ties (both their kids are here in the US) is considered enough for the CBP officer to admit them in case they get questioned. Is this correct? Our plan is to ensure post this one time long duration, they will be spending Apr-Nov every year with us from then on. Please advise. Thanks Ganesh

I am an Indian woman working in tech in the Bay Area. I graduated from college in August 2022 and started my STEM OPT on August 15, 2022. My STEM OPT is valid until August 14, 2023. I recently realized that my F-1 visa expires on May 30, 2023, and my I-94 also expires on that date. I am not sure what I am supposed to do about my expiring F-1 visa. Should I notify USCIS? Should I get a temporary visa? I am also in the process of obtaining an H-1B visa (picked in lottery this year), which is still processing. This means that I am ineligible to leave the country until October 2023. I would appreciate any advice on what I should do about my expiring F-1 visa.
