Legal advice on Full-time employment

Just wondering

So I have been classified as a temporary employe for 2+ years at the same job and same job title. I am now working full time but still in a temporary status. There is no end date to this "temporary" job. I am receiving no benefits, and do not get provided overtime pay either, when working over 8+ hours. There are several vacancies of full time spots, but they don't want to place me into one because then they will have to provide benefits. They did open 1 spot to full time status, I applied and they said it did not meet the diversity they were looking for, as a limited number of applicants applied and closed the position without hiring anyone. Seems pretty discriminatory, given I am a qualified applicant and already working in the same role, for the same company. Keeping me permanent temporary while utilizing me as a full time employee seems to be unlawful. I wold like to pursue this and am looking to representation

I was sent home and was told it is because work has been slow. It’s been 3 weeks with no guarantee on when I would be invited to return. I am not a contract employee and I was hired as a full-time employee. Do I have any rights or recourse as an employee and how long can an employer keep me home before they need to make a decision about my employment status (I.e., lay-off)? They must know I can’t continue to not get paid but I also do not want to quit.

I was hired as a full time employee, and my offer letter for the job specifically says full time. Am I able to take legal action for this?

I have been accused of being inappropriate at work by a colleague. The accusation was during a zoom meeting. HR told me who accuse me but didn't tell me what I did. My work has been putting more and more restrictions on me yet they won’t let me know what I did even though I’ve asked numerous times. I’ve been a social worker for 30 years and I’ve never had this happen to me. My three month review that was a few weeks before this complaint was the best that I’ve ever received in my career . I’m not sure what to do at this point and I need someone to give me guidance. Thank you so much!

I was hired for this job as a full-time employee and I was making 40 hours now I'm just making 3 hours a week

I am currently a full time employee at my job. I'm a bartender. I have worked there for 5 years. I have been asking to be made full time for approximately 4 years. Each time I was told my hours didnt average full time employee hours and they couldn't do it. I have an app that displays my hours since 2018. I have always averaged over full time hours. Recently I went to h.r. to see why I wasn't accruing sick pay and vacation days on our app.( I was finally made full time 7 months ago) then a couple days later I have 1 hour in one and 3 in the other. I asked if I could be reimbursed for the sick time and vacation time I should have been receiving in the 4 years prior since my hours reflect full time and I requested to be changed to full time years ago. They said it cannot be done. Is this fair? Is this legal? Who can I turn to for help after already being denied by human resources?

My dad began working for Whole Foods in late 2020 due to furlough. Within a few days of working there, he was complemented on his work and was told he would become full time within 3 months (March 2021) and the paperwork was started shortly after. As time passed by, his supervisor told him that it would take longer than expected. When following up on the status, my dad was told that it was not up to his supervisor to finalize the paperwork and was waiting for others to sign off the paperwork. Recently, my dad noticed that workers that started working after he did became full time; all of them are Dominican and my dad is Mexican. The supervisor is also Dominican. Despite being part time, my dad was working full time hours, and was not paid at 1.5x rate. My dad recently gave his resignation letter and his supervisor confronted my dad on the reason for leaving: "Full time employment took longer than told" and gave the impression that my dad should change this. Months prior, my dad felt discriminated because a Dominican coworker would approach my dad's workstation and make offensive Mexican slang & phrases. The supervisor was notified on this and no action was taken.

I've been working for my current employer for almost a year now. I work graveyard by myself at a hotel with no security. I've been working 5-6 days a week, until they could find someone to work the shift full time because the managers didn't want to come in at night and do it. They finally hire 4 people, 2 of them quit within a month and the 2 that stayed took over the hours completely. Which is fine because I've been asking to work a different shift because I'm a full time college student with 16 credits. My manager refuses to give me any other shift and cuts my hours to zero instead. Its been about 5 weeks since I've worked and when I finally filed for unemployment last week she decided to put me on the schedule so I wouldn't get my benefits. She won't fire me, but she'll do anything to prevent me from getting benefits and she's hoping I'll quit like the last 5 people.
