Legal advice on Fix-it tickets

I have a fix-it ticket for a brake light on my car and an online Zoom court appearance in a couple months to show that I fixed my brake light. I have not fixed my brake light yet and the title is soon gonna be transferred over to another family member. What do I tell them on the day of my court date?

Several months ago (August, 2020), I received a fix it ticket for a faulty headlight whilst driving my mothers vehicle. The court date was scheduled for a few later from that, and I had completely forgotten to respond. In early January of 2021, I was pulled over and it was found out that my license was suspended from said failure to appear from that ticket. Completely forgetting about it before, this was a rather shocking surprise. I received a court summons in a town 100 miles away from home with a charge listed as “AUO-3rd degree.” Once I was home (2 days later, not arrested), I rectified the ticket that caused this whole thing and the license was then reinstated on the spot. Originally my court date was set for mid February for the misdemeanor charge, but has since been pushed to May; I’m guessing that this has to do with COVID-19. I have no criminal record up to this point (very few traffic tickets as well), and I went through the effort to get my license reinstated as soon as I could. fine could result, and/or up to 30 days in jail or probation. Im HOPING for some leniency, with that considered. I’m looking into an attorney, as I’m particularly confused. Advice for proceeding?

Police pull you over for third brake light out, when you do your daily walk around inspection you cannot inspect this feature by merely turning on the flashers to simulate the brake pedal nor does an indicator lamp light up in the instrument cluster to confirm it does not light up like your turn signal lamps. You cannot self inspect this feature reasonably alone without some creativity. I would understand if an indicator on the dash told you the lamp was unlit but that is not the case. Thank you

I was in a auto accident on what i was told is private property ( AMPM gas station ) it was not my fault but I did hit the other car because he cut me off coming from my passanger side well I was driving away from the pump. The involved party kept repeating " don't call the police, they can't do anything on private property". I still called the police because it was my first accident. When he arrived he said he was only there to help us exchange information but then he gave me a fix a ticket after. I told the officer that I wasn't the registered owner & mom paid $2,000 cash and never got a pink slip or registration paper. The DMV only told there was a lien holder and because I'm not on the title that's all they could tell me. I couldn't get insurance because everywhere I went said I needed to be the owner of vehicle.i asked the government assistance program and they said if it's not in my name they couldn t do anything to help. I did try to get insurance and didn't mind paying but wasn't able. I didn't know the lien holders name or amount due or I would have paid. How can I ask the court to dismiss this being my first traffic ticket, I no longer have the car so i dont drive.

I got a fix it ticket for my front plates followed by a fast track roll violation for not paying to use it. Does anyone know how much it will be and will I get the amount due in the mail

I received a ticket for window tint on my driver and passenger windows, and missed my court date. My license has been suspended and I received a $700 fine, is there a way to get the fees reduced? I've had the ticket signed off and am going to court tomorrow to speak to the judge.

I received a ticket for driving without proof of insurance because i had an electronic insurance card on my phone, and my phone was dead when i was pulled over. In order to register a new vehicle i got soon thereafter i had to show dmv proof of insurance since the court had notified them after the ticket that i was not insured. So i provided the dmv my insurance card which they then recorded in their system so that they could allow registering the vehicle. I thought thatsince obviously the courts info about my driving ticket was accessible/shared with dmv that that went both ways, and that id resolved showing proof of insurance related to the ticket as well since the notice i received in the mail warning of a possible suspension for not showing proof came from the dmv, not the court. At any rate, because i didnt show proof to the court, my license was automatically suspended which i didnt realize until i was pulled over for not having my headlights on. The officer didnt write me up for the headlights, but he did give a ticket for driving on a suspended. between that and the now very late fix it ticket i owe $3k which i dont have & collections dept said its too late to show proof

I got pulled over for speeding last weekend, and besides getting a citation for speeding he also cited me for having tinted windows in the front. When my dad bought the car that's how the car came, with the tinted windows. I got a fix it ticket in the mail, but I don't want to get the tint taken off since it wasn't mine to put on in the first place. How much do YOU THINK it would be just to pay the ticket INSTEAD of getting the tint taken off, just to have it being put back on after? Or how do you think I should go about this?

Got fix it ticket for expired registration. The car has been repossed..and i wasnt able to show up for court i now have a faliure to appear.. N cant afford to be arrested n lose my job n my moms house..i wanna know what to expect and maybe be guided on how to fix situation

Back in April I received a ticket for window tinting. I haven't had a ticket in a long time so I decided to just do on-line mitigation, reduce the fine and just pay for it. I received a letter from my insurance company for renewal and noticed that my premium went up by $650.00!! I thought this was a non-moving violation that doesn't affect insurance?
