Legal advice on DUI and college enrollment

Ive have been trying to get back into my four year college after being put on academic suspension. The first reason given why I could not come back was because I had a DUI pending Upon further review I found that a friend of mine had a similar situation and was allowed back into the institution with her situation. The last time I had communication with my school, because I did poorly at my previous school (a community college) while I have been on suspension they would not be able to accept me. To plead my case I did Graduate this past summer from the community college with my associates and my business certificate. When I discussed why my GPA all of a sudden matters the answer was it will be indicative of what I would do if allowed back into my 4 year institution. None of that makes since seeing as tho my GPA's are separate from each other when I came into the school my slate was clean and my 4 year institutions GPA did not reflect anything I had done at my previous school. On top of all that I cant begin to pull anything up at my 4 year with out being given the chance to return. Yet they wont let me back in even after I went through the period of time they said I had to wait.

My 20 year old daughter just got a DUI ticket and she is currently going to be a senior in college. She is a softball player and very involved on campus. She is a model student who made a bad decision. She is a biomed student with dreams of being a PT. Will this hurt her chances she had never been in trouble before with anything like this.

I spent time in Ada county jail for a DUI and subsequent probation violation. I am now getting a bill for my time there. My residence is in an another county, but I was going to college at that time in Ada county.

Hi, I got a DUI back in December 2017 and completed my 12 hour IDRC. They required that I get evaluated during that 12 hour IDRC and the person evaluating me said I don’t have a drinking problem but they have to send me for an assessment for counseling. ( I asked what the assessment is like and the woman who evaluated me even told me that I’d most likely get discharged and don’t have to enter treatment). When I was at counseling the evaluator even said i don’t have a drinking problem and still said that they are required to send me for 16 week IDRC treatment and to attend two AA meetings. I asked her the reasoning and she said it’s mandatory The counseling is 30 minutes away from where I actually live and I was under the assumption I’d be there only once (just for the assessment) and not come there for 16 weeks! Is there any chance I can fight this? A little about myself: Age 24 Stable job of 3 years Graduated college with bachelors degree BAC time of arrest .14 No mental / physical illness No family history of drinking / substance abuse Barely drink

I had 7 years of erratic behavior which was just diagnosed as BIPOLAR!! I AM finally on track.. College degree..excellent work experience...hard worker. I get 70% of all the jobs I apply for...and then the DUI background comes back..1 .7yrs ago..2 4yrs ago..HELP. I just want to work!!

Attended same school previously, answered germane question, if recall, granted admissions, but at a different branch. Asked question again on main campus, now told must have expunge removed as reactive in details something that occurred 25 years ago. Same person said in humor to her, but not me, may be your too old to remember. I asked her when did age have anything to do with completing a degree, she giggled. Wrote same officer asking all current students and faculty to submit to a background check to make sure they all were telling the truth when initial an application. Dean of Admissions officer refused, and deny enrollment. Private school or not, this isn't what that school advertises in its recruiting. What's one opinion whether events of similarity have occurred in past.

I recently pled guilty to a DWI charge (level 5) in NC. I remember being told that a DUI is not a crime of moral turpitude and would not result in deportation. However, that seems to be wrong. Had I known this, I would have at least asked my lawyer for a continuance. I still haven't received any notification of visa revocation since my arrest (August 2015) but I'm seriously panicking now. Any information on this would be really helpful. Thanks!

I got a dui in california, completed the probation and was granted a dismissal under 1203.4. Do I have to disclose this to employers if they don't specifically ask about a DUI? Obviously I don't want to lie on a job application, so some advice would be appreciated on the issue.

Hi I am a current F-1 visa students in Fairfax, Virginia. I was recently arrested and charged in the District of Columbia for Driving under the influence of Alcohol and leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage of another car. Now the witness is also claiming personal injury from my insurance and court. I basically side swiped the car and the damage was not severe and I still don't believe the injury claim. I am currently in court proceedings in DC superior court and case hasn't yet been disposed. I have no criminal record. What are the chances of me adjusting status for green card lottery 2016 by September 2016 which is the end of visa issuance, if I am convicted and put on probation for a year. Can I still be issued a green card on probation. Will I be deported.
