Legal advice on Divorce in West Virginia

I am in Ms.and divorcing my husband who now lives in WV, he recently bought a home there with his sons name also on the deed without out my real knowledge of this. Does this mean if my husband were to pass away from cancer he's diagnosed with will the home then belong to the son and paid for by credit life if he has it? Will I be responsible for paying for this home if he passes with or without credit life insurance?

I got married in 2003 and got separated a year later and have been separated for twenthy years we have not lived together either. Have not seen or heard from him. Don't even know where he is at. But he does have a lengthy criminal background in kataba county, North Carolina. They last. I heard he was living in the woods homeless and on drugs.

Ex-husband is a nurse who got romantically involved with patient in hospital..Saw her excessively. She encouraged him to leave marriage . He did. Moved into her house in another city: Charleston, WV. Marriage of over 40 years/3 adult children.One is disabled totally,permanently and I am taking care of her. So am I, btw.(TPD) I want to sue her for alienation of affection. I guess having her drawn and quartered is out ?

Divorced in WV.Ex lives in Ohio. Ex has marital pension that I desperately need my half of to support myself and adult disabled daughter. Was married over 40 years. Was told at divorce court briefly that it was a federal issue & I need forms to file. Assumed lawyer would. Didn't.My ex is holding up anything financial he can. I sincerely think he hopes I'll die first. Not hyperbole.My attorney does not return calls or msgs.He was that way since hired,btw. I am 68 and in poor health On disability.. Ex is 62.Stil works at times We are on medicaid/food stamps. Utilities often turned off. Desperate.

My spouse has a bad drug habit, and has sold almost anything they own, and some things I own. I am wanting to file for divorce, but I'm worried the judge will still divide the few remaining assets equally, rewarding my spouse. Would this be the case? I inherited some property from my aunt, would they be entitled to that real estate? It isn't much, but it was mine before marriage. They came into the marriage with nothing, and I'm afraid I'm going to get short ended because my husband's drug habit. I've suffered enough. I don't want to suffer in court also.

There is no separate petition for separate maintenance. There's only a divorce packet on the official website. What I don't understand is why they include so many helpful and detailed instructions and forms to apply for divorce without a lawyer but none of the forms and instructions for separate maintenance.

Hello, I am not living with my husband. He travels around the States for work. We don't want a divorce. We lived for a few years in Minnesota prior to moving to West Virginia in 2021. I'm not happy here. I haven't been able to find a job that I like around here. Prior to moving to West Virginia I sold my vehicle. I haven't been driving for two years. I don't have any friends here. My infant kids don't interact with other kids. The bottom line I was a happy and self-sufficient mother with a vehicle in Minnesota. Now I am not happy and depending on my husband's family to give me a ride. I want to write an informal agreement where my husband would agree to me moving back to Minnesota with the kids next year. The agreement will be notarized and have both signatures. We don't want a divorce or legal separation. The separation shall be in trial or no court involvement. The question is does this informal separation agreement have any power at all shall my husband change his mind and won't let me move or after we move, he could call cops on me? But I will have this paper. Is this paper a piece of junk?

Hello, my husband and I have been separated with a possibility of reconciliation. I'd like to draft an informal separation agreement that addresses child custody matter. I've found a well paying job in my area of interest in a different state and would like to relocate with my kids. My husband travels across the States for work. My husband doesn't object my move. In the separation contract what kind of custody do I assign myself? A sole physical custody and a joint legal custody or sole legal custody? What kind of custody is ok to move with my kids later without any legal problems?

Me and my wife's agreement in the distribution of property plan in the divorce was she would take the car and the debt that goes along with it. The judge verbally told her she needed to take care of getting my name off the loan ASAP. The judge even put in the divorce decree that the property distribution plan was accepted and affirmed. She is now, 1½ months after the divorce trying to pawn the vehicle off on me and take her name off the loan because she can't afford it anymore and her boyfriend is getting her a different car. It has been tanking my credit because she hasn't taken my name off the loan and she is behind by like 8 payments.

My ex husband got a legal no trespassing order on me but let me come into the property does that void the order?
