Legal advice on Divorce in Kansas

Wife is trying to transfer assets to nephew.

My ex-husband passed 9/5/2020. i approached social security and the agent I presented the question we were married 5/9/1986 and the file date was 3/20/1996. I was informed by the agent that the seal, the clerks signature was the date the federal government used. that date would give me 10 years and 3 days. since that initial contact my claim has been denied twice. i am looking for something i can present to the judge and some piece of mind for myself to support my research. the divorce was filed in washington state but i live in lawence ks

I wanted to file for divorce from my husband. He beat me to it because his sister is a paralegal to his attorney. Also this will be the 3rd time we have tried to make it work, but once again I decided it wasn't what I wanted so my husband and his lawyer drew up the old divorce case and now the judge thinks we have only been married 23 days. Is any of this legal?

I have filed for an annulment in the state of Kansas on the grounds of a "mistake of fact." My grounds are that I agreed to marry my husband if he were seeking help for his alcohol abuse. He told me that he was when this wasn't true. He was abusive to me and was arrested before our marriage, and I agreed to let him back into my life if he were to seek help. After we married, he refused to consummate the marriage, used me for financial purposes (in addition to paying $1200 for his car repairs, I became the sole household supporter), and informed me months later that he had no intentions of stopping drinking. However, now I have learned that this isn't grounds for annulment. What else can I use to prove mistake of fact?

Went through a divorce that I wasn't properly notified of. Court house told me one thing and did another, have not seen the decree at all except a forwarded email ask my ex if it was okay, Did get a lawyer but alot of wierd things happened and now don't have a lawyer! There's a lot that doesn't make sense to me and I have asked and asked and no answers from anyone! I just need some to give me some direction, tell meits all in my head , I have nothing and can't talk to anyone! All this takes place in a different state....

Married for 20+ years, and want to separate financial obligations/liabilities for present and future. We already file taxes separately. Not wanting to file for divorce currently, but it is always a potential for the future, if that makes a difference in which option would be best.

Basically I was moving, he beat me to the move date with his new locks. He believes him and I can reconcile this amongst our selves. I don’t disagree. I am not sure how I feel about all of this. It’s completely detestable, my best way to describe it.

We have two young children who will need cars and have college expenses later. Is that factored in the divorce process/decree? If one spouse received an inheritance do they get to keep it? How do they prove it was a gift inheritance so they are not required to split this asset?
