On 11/15/2021 I purchased $141.60 worth of groceries, from Walmart, using my EBT card. On 11/16/2021, I went to pick up my order and was told that my card was flagged as fraud. The Walmart employee told me that they could not refund me there at the store, and that I needed to call 1-800-WALMART. So, I did. That's when the issues started. I was told I would be refunded in 24-48hrs. After 48hrs and no refund, I called again, was told again, 24-48hrs. Another 48hrs, no refund, I called again. Once again, I was told 24-48hrs. After 48hrs, no refund, I called again, I was then told 3-5hrs. After 24hrs, no refund, I called the store I did my pickup order at, and was told by the supervisor it would be 5-7 business days, at this time, it had already been a week. So I waited 48hrs, still no refund, I went to social media, where my claim was escalated again, and once again, I was told 24-48hrs.
It's now almost a month later, and I still have not received my refund. And Walmart will not do anything, except send me an address that a lawyer can send a legal letter to.
Are they basically telling me to get a lawyer, and fight for my refund?
