Legal advice on Child support

Hi - i have been planning to quit current job for a year - which is high paying but debilitatingly stressful. I had a few discussions with my wife but when i finally told her that i have decided to quit after next annual bonus (due in may 2024) take a break and join a lesser stressful job with lesser pay, she has threatned to divorce and force me to keep the job. Am i going to be forced to keep the job for child support. If we have email communication regarding my plan to quit will that protect me

Dad works and makes $1k -$1500 a week and has custody of one child . I have 3 kids and make $800 a week but I’m looking for another job also to make closer to $1500 a week to cover what’s needed since I’m not meeting my basic needs alone right now. If we both make $1500 a week will they divide it by both our actual nets and figure out the amount of nights that I have them if I do it DOR only not courts ?

can dcss garnesh my wages at anytime for the arrears or can they levy my bank account at any time?? if so what can I do to prevent this?? and on the spousal support I have a judgement but can I go back to court to change the judgement ? and keep in mind my dissolution is not finalize.. 7 years going on 8 now?? help anyone I am living in the same house with the respondent in my divorce now if not sleeping together does that matter to a judge???

There is an agreement to pay half of agreed activities for son. Ex wife is ‘skating’ around the definition. Joined membership of a health club, and takes son all the time, but does not pay half his fees. Can I make her pay through her action even though she never stated that she ‘agrees’? What can I file.

I’m in Pro Per in a child support case and have already filed several motions to compel which are incredibly time consuming and require the notice of motion, motion, separate statement and declaration. I just found an article that claimed that one could use the Request For Order form (FL 300) to request a motion to compel. Is this accurate? This one is specifically for an order compelling responses to FL-145. (Family Law Form Interrogatories). These questions are prepared and approved by the court, making them matter that is discoverable.  But, just like all of the other discovery I propounded to, the opposing counsel responded with boilerplate objections. Copy and paste, verbatim for each one. Obviously, I would prefer to file an FL-300 rather than the 60-80 pages that go into putting together a motion.

I've taken a few classes towards an associates degree, but haven't made much progress due to my work schedule. After getting fired, I enrolled full-time, and a family member offered to cover my bills while I'm in school. My ex went to court in January and was granted more than twice the original amount of child support because the job I had was different than the one I had when we entered the first order. Since I'm not working, I filed to have it decreased. I'm aware that I still have to pay child support, but I thought that if someone was voluntarily unemployed or underemployed, what they could make working full-time for minimum wage would be imputed as income. I went to court, and my ex's attorney asked for a continuance so they could request discovery to find out why I'm unable to work. I put in my motion that it was because of school, and I took my schedule to court, but the judge granted the continuance. Will a judge be likely to impute more than minimum wage or deny a decrease? I know it's their discretion, but is it common? For reference, I'm not going to school to get out of child support. I'm going to school because I only have a HS diploma.

We've had equal custody for the past four years, but I registered my daughter for school to secure a placement in case she could attend school while staying with me. However, once my ex learned about this, she immediately filed with the courts to alter our 2019 custody arrangement. The judge interpreted my act of enrolling my daughter in school as a violation of the previous order, granting my ex majority primary custody with strict travel limitations. I'm now only allowed three weekends a month with Wednesday dinners only on the weekends I don't have my daughter. Additionally, despite my ex moving away, she falsely claimed I approved her relocation. I'm unsure of my options; can you please provide guidance?

My ex-wife and I represented ourselves in our divorce. We had/have no agreement for child support or visitation. I since moved to Virginia because my job is in the DC area. Now she is saying that she is filing for child support. my question is which court will hear/file the child support? Virginia or South Carolina? When I look at how much I will be paying in child support, do I use a Virginia Child Support Calculator to a South Carolina Child Support Calculator? Does this also mean that I can file for 50/50 custody and have our child in Virginia part-time?

I separated from my husband over a year ago, he moved out of state, while I am staying as a primary caregiver with our son. All my expenses cover both my and our son's day-to-day and other needs. How do I estimate my son's share of those expenses for child support? Some amounts vary significantly month over month like school and activities, while others are hard to measure, like what part of gas/parking/food/rent pertains to my child.

My license was suspended for child support and I received a letter stating "NOTICE/ORDER OF RESCIND" what does this mean exactly before I get too excited LOL. My license is how I make a living.
