Legal advice on Business in Puerto Rico

4 of my friends and I decided to start a clothing line. We should start selling on our website in less than a month, and something that we want to establish is the ownership structure of it. What would be the best ownership structure for 5 high schoolers who are starting a clothing line? We are all paying the first production materials equally (20% each) and we are going to split into 20% each of the money we can spare from the company that isn't going to be used for productions or is being kept away in case we need more money. We don't look forward into getting into legal problems or dealing with lawsuits from angry Karens for making non-vegan clothing.

I administer a few pages on FB, one of them are jokes for adults. Most of the jokes are shared from other users. I recently received a 3 day suspension for posting/sharing a dirty star wars joke that had no nude images. It was a definition from Urban Dictionary. I asked for a review and got a response that the meme goes against their community standard, for nudity and language. So, I report where I got the original meme, by the way it has over 16K shares, and FB messages me there is no violation and it doesn't go against their standards, but yet my suspension isn't lifted. I think Facebook cherry picks who to target and give a hard time and who not to. I am personally sick of it and know many are being targeted the same way. Their rules do not apply to everyone and it's ethically wrong. I either want to sue by myself, or start a class action suit. Facebook discriminates certain users and it's completely wrong.

I Hired a contractor to make a food truck. Contract States it will take 30-50 days. He took 90% of the total contractual amount and still hasn't finished six months later. Do I have any recourse against this business for breach of contract? The contract doesn't define any penalities for taking too long. Every day I don't have the food truck, I'm not earning money to feed my family.

I have a iron clad agency contract with a dealer who breached his duty of loyalty. It appears he has crashed the car, rented it out to others for a fee he pockets, uses it for his own family and is otherwise not trying to sell it so he can try to buy it for his own account at a distressed price. The fair market value was set forth in the contract, witnessed by other dealers and advised by his own lawyer before execution.

My father passed away about 5 years ago. he did not have a will but owned a house which now stands empty because my youngest sibling wants to keep it. they both as i have our own property in the US. I have asked them to buy me out but they refuse. i know the laws in Puerto Rico are different so what do i do?

so about over year a go was considering making a business in another country where usd is cheaper i happens to know this person online who had done some trades for me in his country we talk i trust them so i we both had agreement and i send him money via paypal to make a business so we both benefit from it but now even a year later still nothing yet get single cent out of this so was wondering if is possible to sue them

My husbands father passed away 2 yrs ago. He owned to property’s in Arroyo, Puerto Rico. He and his sister were always told the property’s would be left to them. I was doing some research and came across “forced heirship” laws in Puerto Rico. Unfortunately the family hasn’t been very forth coming about the details surrounding the property’s. We would like some legal advice on what the laws are in Puerto Rico and possible hire an attorney. We have also been told there could possible be an insurance policy as well. Their father lived in the states for awhile before his passing as well. We live in the states and need some help as many lawyers here haven’t had the experience with Puerto Rico law.

I'm a 1099 contractor and I was asked to work in Puerto Rico to help rebuild the communications system for Liberty Cable under the subcontractor company Mexus. The subcontractor company is based out of Chicago and I was in Ohio at the time they asked me to work for them. I asked them when I would sign a contract and they said I would sign a contract in Puerto Rico, which I thought was shady but it was supposedly a lucrative opportunity so I trusted that. When I got to PR the manager for the company said there was no contract to be signed. Mexus also said they would provide housing, food, and gas but I've had to pay for my food and gas and then we were evicted from the house we were staying in. On top of that they said we'd get paid 3 weeks in and every week after but a week and a half in they said we wouldn't get paid till 45 days in. It's been 49 days since I've started working and I haven't received a cent. Please help!

My sister and I inherited a property in Puerto rico. The property had a mortgage at the time of the inheritance. I wanted to settle the property inherited in of of four different options. Explore the possibility of refinancing, buy my sister's shares of the property, sell my shares of the property to her or place the property on the market for sale. at the time, upon exploring the possibility of refinancing we found out that my sister's credit was not appropriate for loan approval. I verbally offered her to buy her shares of the property to which she did not agreed. I offered to sell my shares of the property to her to which she claimed did not have the money for it. I suggested to put the property on the market for sell which we eventually did even though she did not want to. i communicated to her through emails that I did not want to continue to pay a mortgage which balance had remained approximately the same for a prolonged period of time as this pace this mortgage would not be paid off at a reasonable time and therefore the money contributed to the mortgage payments would be mostly going to interest and very little to principal.
