Legal advice on Business in Kansas

This is a confusing situation, but I will try my best to summarize it. Last December, me and a friend decided to start a trucking business together. In order to acquire a truck, we were responsible for putting a 40% down payment on the truck, a total of about $18,000. All of the money for the down payment was paid for by myself because my friend did not have any money available to put into the down payment. Due to personal reasons, I left the business in January. My friend currently runs the business by himself. After many conversations with my friend, he has made it clear that he does not intend on paying me back some or all of my investment in the truck. Is there any legal action I can take against him in order for me to get some or all of my money back? Thank you.

We just registered an LLC with the intention of having a manager manage it, and we used manager information to obtain an EIN (his name appears in the EIN IRS document), but we have not released any offer letters or signed any contracts with the manager. We'd prefer to run it ourselves now, so we'd like to request the legal process of terminating him ( wanted to be cautious of not having issues in future)

I went to get an oil change at Walmart in April and they forgot to put the top engine oil back on my car. On June 4th my car broke down in the middle of the highway. The engine started smoking and then the car wouldn’t turn back on. I had to get it towed back home. I went to Walmart to ask them to review the cameras and let me know if they did forget to put the engine cap back on my car. They came to see my vehicle and reviewed the cameras and they confirmed they did forget to put the cap back on so I had been driving since April without it. My entire engine was completely empty with no oil. I believe my whole engine was ruined, I’m getting the car inspected to know the extent of the damage. Walmart said they’ll replace the engine only but I am concerned there could be additional damage and on top of that I was on the highway when I was driving it could have been a really scary situation if the traffic was busy that day. I’ve been without a car this whole time. Just wondering if there’s more I can do then them just taking liability for the engine.

Husband opened a business checking without consulting his wife and diverted all money earned going to said account so that the wife can’t pay of the bills for the LLC. It was set up as a 50-50 partnership without an operating agreement. Husband runs the loads for the trucking business and I run the back office and finding loads. We sold our assets to start the trucking company. We run under an EIN and and W-9’s are filled as an LLC running as a partnership.

I have a judgment against someone for $3700, they have no job, but run their own business through Paypal. How do get this money?

Just to clarify an earlier request, I was kicked out of the sorority due to false accusations, so I was wondering since I am no longer in the sorority, am I required to continue paying dues when I am no longer a member not by my choice. My contract is for membership, I’m not a member in the sorority. These dues are for activities and other events( I don’t live in the sorority house). I was never able to tell my side as I it was already made up by others . I don’t understand why I have to continue to pay since I was kicked out. Hope this clarifys from before. Thank you.

I play a game called Apex made by EA and recently my account was stolen and I have had it recovered through customer support several times but the hacker just steals it right back… it turned out that the guy who was stealing the account was an employee of the company (EA)… my personal info was exposed and most likely distributed to some degree and the company is now looking for that said employee… I was contacted by the hacker and told to pay $1,500 and he would give my account back and even threatening me and others who had their accounts stolen by him… my account is worth thousands of dollars and even though it sounds petty I’ve felt sick to my stomach the past few weeks not knowing what was to become of my account that’s worth so much. Not to mention the threats from the hacker and the knowledge that the wrong kind of people potentially knew my location and all of my info like credit card, name, email, phone number and IP address. Is there room to sue here and if so who would I sue and how much could I expect from a suit like this… would it be better just to let it go. Also my computer and connection along with all my accounts were secure and it was 100% a breach on their end.

Can an LLC that owns a house charge a car dealership storage fees for refusing to pick up car? Car dealership is in Missouri and LLC and property are in Kansas. For expository simplicity, I own the LLC and the LLC owns my house. Ive tried repeatedly to get this dealership to reposs the car and the utterly refuse. Its been over a year now.

Hello, I am a new felon. I am in e-commerce and was wondering if owning a drop shipping site that sells guns and ammo is against the law ? I would not process, ship, or handle anything to do with tangible guns or firearms. I would simply just be a find the customers with my site, the drop shipping company would handle all shipping, receiving, returns and customer service.

Hello, I own a convenience store and just recently purchased a food truck almost spending close to $35,000 dollars on it. Before purchasing the truck I was told by the city that my zoning is approved and that I will be allowed to park my food truck outside my business. Now after I’ve purchased the truck and I’m trying to get my licenses they are telling me that they zoning was actually never approved and they made a mistake and told me the zoning was approved. I have multiple emails from them stating that my zoning was approved. Can I sue them for lying to me and wasting my time and money?
