If I am trying to retrieve my vehicle from an auto repair shop do I need to file a Chapter 7 or chapter 13?

My vehicle is at an auto repair shop I can't afford to pick up the vehicle for the price that they're asking I'm going to have to file a bankruptcy to be able to keep my but I don't know whether to file a Chapter 7 or chapter 13

Do bankruptcy cases get denied if you live at home?

Do to extremely bad financial choices I racked up about 80k in debt. I currently live with my parents. My lawyer said this is exactly what they are looking to go after. So now I'm scared. I don't know what else to do. It's not like I took out credit cards, maxed them then filed bankruptcy. They've been maxed for years.

How long does a trustee have control of your estate after the bar date(file asset claim) in chapter 7 case ?

Yes I have filed for a chapter 7 bankruptcy case that had assets that were not exempt, it has already been 30 days pass the bar date or file proof of claim date - alas my assets are of cryptocurrency and metals which have taken a hit so technically they are now covered by my state's wild-card exemption. My lawyers have heard nothing from the trustee which they are claiming is a good thing. Any accurate information helps and thank you once again for your time.

Filing a Chapter 13 Voluntary Wage Attachment pro se?

I have filed Chapter 13 a few years ago and have successfuly confirmed my plan and two stipulations. I want to do a volutnary wage attachment for my trustee payments. Does anyone know where I would find this document or instructions how to prepare. i do not want to do it electronically. Thank you!

Will I be able to use a hand written receipt to show proof of purchase when filing bankruptcy?

I need to make a purchase from a person and not a store. I am looking into filing bankruptcy but what I need to get is a need and not a want so I can justify that part of it even though it's a decent amount of money. Can I have this person write something that says I paid X.XX dollars for these items and that be justified so a trustee doesn't ask questions? I wouldn't worry about this if it was a little bit of money but it's a decent size purchase that I'm afraid will raise a red flag so I want to be able to cover myself in the event someone asks questions.

Is my judicial lien now valid and does it have priority over other creditors?

The bankruptcy court ordered a Chapter 7/no assets to a Chapter 7/with assets. They granted a motion to void a judicial lien on his "exempt" property. However, now a major asset is no longer "exempt." So does my judicial lien still stand and will it have priority over other creditors when the trustee auctions the property? Thank you

How much of our personal possessions are we allowed to keep in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy?

Not including our car, the value of our personal possessions is probably around $2500. That includes everything. We don't have much stuff and a lot was given to us by family and friends. Can the trustee come into our home and take what little we own? Is there an exemption amount for California when filing for a Chapter 7 bankruptcy? Thank you.
