Workplace injuries can occur for a variety of different reasons at any jobsite. One of the important issues in Pennsylvania is trying to determine if the injury was caused by a third party. A third party can include a sub-contractor, manufacturer of defective equipment or employee of a different company who may be held liable for the injury. If the injury was caused by a third party, the injured person may be entitled to additional compensation above and beyond the benefits under Pennsylvania Workers Compensation.
