Why should I hire an elder law attorney?

Elder law attorneys spend quite a bit of time really learning the intricacies of elder law. There's a lot of traps that can be triggered by doing improper planning. There's lots of tax consequences, eligibility for benefits consequences. Taking the wrong step could cause tax problems or eligibility problems that could be extremely expensive, much more expensive than the cost of an attorney. Having an attorney that knows the rules, knows the tax law, can make sure that somebody gets their benefits, protects their assets, and avoids any unforeseen tax consequences.
