In this video, Attorney Shaffer (or Shadi) explains in simple terminology the key people or circumstances that requires a person to need a Trust. She explains the criteria of who needs a Trust in California. How every state in the nation had different probate and estate laws and rules. Shadi explains briefly how any of the following people require a Trust: people who own real property in California, business owners and/or their partners, individuals with minor children, and/or anyone who has assets that total more than $150,000. If any of these apply to you then you need to have a Trust in order to avoid your estate from going through the Probate Court system and to have your affairs managed as you wish.
