Before the hearingMeet with your immigration attorney to go over your affidavit and the application for asylum line by line. Everything that is on the application and affidavit will be reviewed by the immigration officer.
At the hearingGet a good night's rest before the hearing and be sure to eat something. Give yourself enough time to arrive for the interview. Bring any additional documents you want to give to the officer. Be sure to make copies for the file. Listen to the questions being asked and answer to the best of your ability.
