What is an exclusion in an insurance policy?

Every insurance policy has a section titled exclusions and what this section describes are the circumstances where coverage is not afforded. Most of these descriptions are very complicated and convoluted and the goal is to usually intimidate the insured. You want to make sure that you have a competent attorney read and assess your insurance policy so you properly understand every exclusion and how it related to your insurance claim.
