What is a Will?

A will is a legal document that contains your instructions as to how you want your property and assets to be distributed after your death. It names the people you want to benefit, and can detail how you'd like your possessions distributed at the date of your death. However, just having a last will and testament is usually not enough. Without a trust, or other planning mechanism, it is very difficult for an estate to avoid the lengthy and expensive probate process. Watch more videos to learn more!
