What is a collaborative divorce?

Collaborative divorce is a private process to get to a dissolution of marriage. It generally can involve three to four people. Usually, each person has an attorney. There's a financial planner involved who helps to distribute the assets and debts fairly, and there can be a mental health specialist involved to help navigate the rollercoaster of emotions that goes along with dissolving your marriage.
