What does it mean to fund a trust?

A trust is a legal agreement between yourself and your trustee on what happens to your finances when you become incapacitated and when you pass away. A trust is only as good as what it controls. When we say you need to fund a trust, that means going to all your financial institutions and accounts and county recorder to re-title your assets in the name of your trust.
