What damages can I get if I sue under the FCRA for false credit reporting in Alabama?

When you're suing under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) for false credit reporting, you may be compensated with statutory damages (which is up to $1,000 er violation), and these bad debt collectors can be hit with punitive damages.

They may also have your attorney's fees paid for by the debt collector.

It is definitely worth your time and the damages can be a wonderful motivator to the credit reporting agencies and furnishers (the company who provides the info to the agencies) to settle and fix your credit reports.

Hope this is helpful to you.
