When do I have to file for the Florida Homestead Exemption in Naples, Florida?Florida grants homeowner's a minimum of $25,000.00 exemption on the assessed taxable value of a person's primary principal residence also known as your Homestead. In order to qualify for this Homestead Exemption you must be a permanent Florida Resident (domiciled) as of January 1st of the year that you plan on applying for the Homestead Exemption.
