A Miami personal injury attorney observes that a 22-year-old Maitland man and a 24-year-old woman from Davie have been killed and another man has been seriously injured in a two-car crash on I-95, according to a news report.

The Florida Highway Patrol reported that a 2011 Volkswagen driven by Julian de Los Angeles was traveling south on I-95 when it rear-ended a pickup truck driven by Joachim Tertulien, 58, of Palm Bay. The VW was then hit by a tractor-trailer driven by Isreal Rivera, 51, of Antioch, Tenn. Los Angeles and a passenger in his VW, Alison Goldberg, were killed. Tertulien was taken to a local hospital in serious condition. Rivera was uninjured, as was a passenger in the pickup.

FHP officers said that crash remains under investigation.
