Starting an LLC in Texas

Before setting up your own LLC in Texas, watch this video to get important information on what an LLC is, how to set one up, and a little bit about how to properly maintain it.

An LLC is legal business entity that is authorized to hold title to property, enter into contracts, sue, and be sued.

In Texas, an LLC is set up by filing a Certificate of Formation with the Texas Secretary of State's office.

A few basics of properly maintaining an LLC includes: 1) an effective Operating Agreement and 2) sufficient capitalization.

As always, videos like this are no substitution for legal consultations from a licensed attorney, and no attorney-client relationship is established by you watching this video or making comments.
