Kentucky's first attempt at comprehensive family court rules came in January 2011. The rules governing the following categories and other types of family law cases will be modified as of January 1, 2013:
One of the most significant changes involves relocation of children. The rule now reads more similar to the Indiana rule, and distinguishes between those parents that have joint legal custody and those that have sole custody of their minor kids.
