Monitor Your Teen's Driving -NYS T.E.E.N.S. Driving Program
Our children do not like to disappoint us, particularly when we are entrusting them with the responsibility of driving. Many parents are not aware that DMV has a program whereby you can sign up to receive word whenever your under age 18 driver receives specific events added to their driving record.
SIgn Up for T.E.E.N.S. notification- program is FREE and is for drivers under age 18Being informed of these events allows a parent to take steps to deal with unsafe behaviors and to guard their child's driving record from suspensions and revocations. Additionally, monitoring teen driving is a responsible way to keep on top of pending violations and avoid or mitigate untoward insurance consequences for the teen driver and for the entire family.
