Being stopped by an Law Enforcement Offficer* Never make ANY voluntary statements that may incriminate yourself whenever speaking to an Officer. If the question is going to cause you to incriminate yourself. Inform the Officer that you are invoking your Fifth Amendment right to REMAIN SILENT. Always be courteous with Law Enforcement officers, and do what the ask, when asked, but do not give them false information, or make any incriminating remarks. YOU must invoke your right to REMAIN SILENT.
Getting a Marijauna or Paraphernalia Minor Misdemeanor ChargeIf you pick up a minor misdemeanor drug charge, either Marijuana or Paraphernalia charge, DO NOT pay the ticket out, if you have a driver's license. In the State of Ohio although these minor offenses can be paid out in many cases like a traffic ticket. Under Ohio law they carry the additional penalty of a six month license suspension. So always go into Court on these type of charges with Counsel.
