Medicaid Planning in Georgia

Posted by attorney David McGuffey

Medicaid is the way most families pay for long-term care. The Medicaid program does a poor job of helping and most families can't afford to pay privately for nursing home care. Elder Law Attorneys frequently help families plan to become eligible under the Medicaid rules. The process is complex and no video can described everything about Medicaid planning, in part, because we don't know your situation until you tell us and because the rules are always changing. This video was prepared in January, 2011. We can almost guarantee that the rules will be different within 6 to 8 weeks from the date is was recorded. That's why you need a qualified Elder Law Attorney to guide you through the process. Look through our website and then call us if you have questions. We help people throughout Georgia and southeast Tennessee.
