Illinois Standard Visitation

Different states have different visitation rules and regulation. The Standard visitation in the state of Illinois is:

  1. From 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday to 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday on alternating weekends.

  2. Alternating holidays

  3. Up to two evenings each week for dinner.

  4. Children always go with the father on Father’s Day and on the father’s birthday.

  5. Children always go with the mother on Mother’s Day and on the mother’s birthday.

  6. During summer vacation for 2 to 4 weeks.

Although this is the standard, the parents do not have to follow this schedule if it conflicts with their situation.
