I am guilty, have no defense, and just want to get this over. Should I bother getting a lawyer?

Even if you do not have any defense, even if your only defense is a Hail Mary shot, definitely get an attorney. An attorney can negotiate a better plea offer for you than you could probably ever do yourself. There are also other collateral consequences to pleading to the bench or the court. It is the attorney’s job to protect your rights to make sure that you are not pleading to something you are going to regret down the line.
