How to check for errors in your credit report

Your credit reports impact many areas of life.

Here are a few steps you can take to make sure that they're perfect.

  1. Print off your credit reports.

  2. Literally go line by line and make sure that every line is correct.

Ask yourself with each line, "Is this accurate?"

  1. If everything is accurate on your report (whether it's good or bad), then there's nothing left to do.

  2. If they're inaccurate, then you should properly dispute with the credit reporting agencies and ask them to correct it.

  3. If they refuse to fix your reports, then you need to look into suing the credit reporting agencies for false credit reporting.

Hope this helps you!
