How long do drugs stay in your system?

A table of drug test detection times.

If you're on probation or are facing criminal charges related to drugs, you may be required to take a drug test.

Tests may use a sample of your hair, urine, or blood to determine if you are or have been using drugs or alcohol. However, not all tests are able to accurately detect drug use.

Depending on the method used, the test may only be able to detect if drugs were used within the past couple days. Review the table below to learn different tests' accuracy when screening for different types of drugs.

If you're facing criminal charges for drugs other other crimes, review your options with a local criminal defense attorney.
