How long do drugs stay in your system?
Employee drug screenings are common at many companies. However, not all drug tests are able to successfully detect drug use.
Factors like age, metabolism, and urine pH can all affect how long drugs are detectable in your system. High, frequent drug use is easier to detect than occasional, small doses.
If you're concerned that you have failed a drug screening, talk to your employer about repeating the test or using another testing method. Alternatively, if you've been wrongfully terminated because of the results of a drug test, talk to a local employment lawyer.
