The Law Office of Harvey G. Hesse III, P. A. represents those charged with DUI. These cases are usually two fold. First, the criminal case is being prosecuted and court dates are set before the Judge. Mr. Hesse will review the discovery to make sure none of your rights were violated. Discovery usually includes police reports, video tapes, and testing for levels of alcohol and/or controlled substances. Often times, the charges can be reduced or even dropped if problems can be pointed out to the prosecutor. Second, the client usually must deal with an administrative suspension from the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. The client has 10 days from the date of arrest to request a formal review with the DHSMV or it is waived. If the request is made timely, the client will receive a 42 day permit to drive for business purposes only as long as the client otherwise qualifies. If a client is convicted of DUI, there are mandatory minimum sentences that the Judge must impose. There are also maximum sentences that the Judge can impose. In the case of a plea, the right attorney can usually negotiate the minimum sentences and mitigate the punishments. Do not put your future in the hands of an inexperienced attorney. Mr. Hesse has been defending DUI cases since 1996 and has the knowledge and experienced to help. He handles all cases from start to finish so you can rest assured that in his office your file will not be handled by a less experienced associate. Please call for a free consultation.
